storage location determination @ order level

hi all

my client maintains a material in exactly one storage location.his requirement is when he enters the material in the order the storage location has to automaticaly gety determined without manualy entering it.....

plz respond asap

Anil. OVL3 will NOT do anything to default storage location into a sales document item. That gets it determined for Delivery transaction.

Automatic storage location is for deliveries as well.

You will have to go the MV45AFZZ user exit route

Hi Anil,

Storage location could be determined in sales order, but is very much dependent on plant and shipping point and storage condition.

So if you have maintained the settings of automatic storage location determination in spro. Then it will be copied into your line item.

A second easier mechanism could be of using parameters in the user profile accessed through su01d or by "Own data".

You'll have to code this as a user exit in MV45AFZZ with the form FORM USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBAP (Read the config table TVKOL to get the storage location).

That's the only way to do this within a Sales Document

Storgae location is only determined during delivery and it is done using the rules MALA, RETA & MARE.
