Clusterwide exception: Failed to start application

Hi all,

I try to modify standard ESS and i need to use DC ess_xxsap.com in DC ess_persap.com, so I use this procedure:

- Add Cc BankXX to public part of ess_xxsap.com

- In ess_persap.com add ess_xxsap.com as usedDC

- Deploy ess_xxsap.com

- Deploy ess_persap.com

Deploy failed with this error:

java.rmi.RemoteException: Error occurred while starting application sap.com/ess/per and wait. Reason: Clusterwide exception: server ID 226977650:com.sap.engine.services.deploy.container.DeploymentException:

Clusterwide exception: Failed to prepare application sap.com/ess~per for startup.

Reason=Clusterwide exception: Failed to start application sap.com/ess~per:

The referenced application sap.com/ess~xx cannot be started.

Check the causing exception for details.

Hint: Is the referenced application deployed correctly on the server?

ECC6.0 EHP4 ready SR1 (ABAP)

Netweaver 7 EHP1 (EP, EPC, AS) SP-stack 8

When we deploy SAP SAP PCUI_GP 603 SP5, its finish with Status :Deployed with warning :

Hi Andrea,

This error comes when you are trying to deploy an application, which has component name same as other application which is already deployed.

Change the component name of your project or remove the other application with same component name from server and redeploy yours one.

I verify that sap.com/ess_{xx use sap.com/ess}per public part as used dc.

Is it possible use public part of componet A in component B, and in the same time use public part of componet B in component A ? Or this configuration can generate my error?

Hi Andrea,

This will create Cyclic dependency. You will get error.

Just check whether all the componets, u r using as dependencies in ur application, are deployed on ur server or not? it seems some components r missing.

all Dc are deployed and all seems to be ok.

If I remove ess_xxsap.com as used DC all is deployed correctly... I don't understand....
