Hi all,
i also try to report hirarchies with the visual composer.
I created designed my model as described in the How to... paper.
But i get following error message when i try to drill down.
An error returned form the back-end system: URLDecoder: Illegal hex characters in escape (%) pattern - For input string: "#I"
Is this a known issue?
Thx a lot
Br
Mike

Mona,
Just a caveat though. The work around suggested in the PDF uses WEB API commands of BI which are deprecated in BI 7.0. But they do work though! However, there's always a risk of SAP pulling the plug there and all your dashboards etc built around this logic in VC fail without an alternative solution unless VC matures to using Flex 3.0.

Hi,
for this is type of need you should use WebdynproEnvironment.
Useing VC you can develop only one level Strucuters only.

Thanks for the information Govindu. With CE, I am little confused as SAP says its going to continue further enhancements in 7.1 and continue to maintain 7.0.
Do you know if CE is going to replace the BI stack for BI 7.0? Can we use CE as the Java stack for BI 7.0? Or may be for BI 7.1? I am still confused about the position of CE with in the BI - Portal ecosystem.
Ciao,
Kiran
Sherwin-
I would suggest you develop your tree in Web Dynpro.
Cheers-
Atul
