Hi Gurus,
My auditors is asking why WF-Batch is being used.
I am not very good at workflow and hope to get some help here.
Must SAP have Workflow activated technically speaking?
How can I know if workflow is being configured and used productively in processes?
Is WF-BATCH supposed to be a background, system or Dialog user?
Hope to hear from you.
Best Regards,
Adette
Hi Adette,
I think there is no need for workflow in SAP unless you need it.
Sorry, I am not sure how to disable workflow. Maybe a Basis expert here will know.

Mirella

Hi,
User WF-BATCH is sap standard delivered user, which have SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW profiles. This is user is responsible for execution of all workflow related tasks/steps which are prcessed by end users.
For example in a workflow, where some infotype is read and then on a condition workflow goes to supervisor for approval.
Approval step is done by end user but checking for that condition is a task which is performed by user WF-BATCH. it is not advisable to remove authorization of this user.
This not a dialog user.

Thanks Sudir, points provided.
If no users know they are using any workflow, does it mean the system is using workflow? Is workflow required by inbox/outbox in SAPOffice?
Could you tell me some system functions or processes that need workflow such that I must not disable workflow?
Thanks!

Adette Rosenthal
