Hi,

I have very basic query in access sequence in pricing which may sound childish;

1.What is the difference bet. delete and flag for deletion for accesses?

2.We want to delete 2 old accesses from accesss seq which are in use and record for the same is valid till 31.12.9999.

If we delete it then what would be the effect on historical data can we store/preserve the data .

Pls guide.

Regards

Answer for your second question.

You can delete the access(condition table) even when the masterdata is available for the condition type for the specific condition table. The masterdata will still exist in the database tables. However they will not be accessed as the combination of condition type and condition table is no more possible.

If you create a condition table with the same number with different fields, and assign it to the same condition type, I really dont know now how the old masterdata will affect the value of the condition type. But things will be clear if you do one small test case.

For first question

Deletion and flag for deletion both mean the same things. But in the second case, the values will be available in the database table, but will not be accessed as the deletion flag is on. In the first case, the values themselves willbe removed from the table.

In case of deletion flag, you can unset the deletion flag to make the values valid.

Hope this answers your question.
