Exited SAPUP

hi,

we are exited our sapup and again restart the sapup it is going to begin the error message is

ERROR: Upgrade already in downtime, option disabled..

we are stoped at START_SHDI_FIRST.we need to go directly to that step.

please help me solution

If you stopped the upgrade you don't need to "jump" to a phase but just start SAPup in the correct directory, it will continue where it stopped automatically.

THANKS FOR REPLY...WE ARE EXITED AT THAT STEP.SO WE ARE RUN THE SAPUP IT IS GIVING THIS

I'm still not sure what you've done.

Do I understand correctly that you did an normal exit in SAPup and now immeditely after restart of SAPup (without giving any jump options) this error messages comes?

THANKS FOR REPLY.AT THAT STEP WE GET ERROR THAT TIME WE ARE EXIT.THE PHASE IS START_SHDI_FIRST.RUN THE UPGRADE ASSISTANT WE GET THAT ERROR

I'm really confused...

If you start SAPup with no options I don't know what "option" you choose. Are you maybe trying to re-start the PREPARE instead of the UPGRADE?

where do you start SAPUP from? do not start it from the CD/DVD dumps, start it from /usr/sap/put subdirectory

we are going to upgrde assistant....

upgrade and prepare separate commaneds

I'm still not sure what you're doing...

I usually do it the following way:

- start the upgrade assistant

- use the menu structure to navigate to "Start - Upgrade"

Not vice versa...

How do you do it? You use "connect to running SAPup"?
