Hi,

Product Proposal / Item proposal : the products we try to sell to the customers depend on their previous sales history. This enables us to retain the business because we can link the previous buying behaviour of the customer with the current sales transactions.

so if a customer doesnt buy a product or the quantity which he regularly buys otherwise, can easily be identified with this.

Cross selling : It is dependant on the item we are selling. Like if a customer buys a pair of shoe, the tendency of the shop keeper is to offer him a pair socks or polish. The same offer is made to all the customers and its totally material dependant. Offering a shirt when some buys a trouser etc., these are all common business practices which we try to map into sap with Cross selling.

Hi,

Cross Selling is nothing but providing alist of materials that can go in handy with the customer orders which are confirmed after interacting with customer.

Ex: If the material is a DVD player and the Customer calls the company asks for it the sales person will be suggesting the other goods that can go along with the DVD player such as few DVD cassetes,DVD covers etc.Once the Customer confirms then the SAles order will be created including the additional items.

Product Propsal is a preplanned list of materials that the customer usually buys from a company which is triggered for a particular Sold to party once the configuration for the product proposal is performed.

Hi,

In simple words, Cross Selling is trying to sell B along with A, if A and B are two materials of your organisation. Product Proposal is a list of materials which are frequently ordered by the customer.
