Hi, Christoph Langer

What happened, in configtool without knowing we have changed the password, (we have put the master password and changed). now when we are trying to logon in configtool, it's not allowing to connect.

error message user is disabled.

please help me to solve the problem.

Thanks & Regards

Hi Venkat,

you're already saying it: "error message user is disabled".

So you need to enable the SAP<SID>DB user again by doing a CHGUSRPRF ... STATUS (ENABLED). If you want to check if the master password works you can also allow interactive login by CHGUSRPRF ... INLMNU (MAIN) and then test the password by trying to log on interactively. But don't forget to set the user back to INLMNU (SIGNOFF) afterwards.

Best regards

Christoph

Hi,

But it's not accepting the master password that we have specified the installation.

Hi,

at which place is the password not accepted? By default you can't logon with the user profile SAP<SID>DB. You could change the userprofile to allow manual log in and thus test your password. Maybe the user is already disabled?

Hi Venkat,

it is whatever you specify in the responsible SAPinst dialog. E.g. for 7.00 installations it is the master password.
