Hi experts,
I m new to SRM5.0. I like to know abt classic scenario. Wt is the need for that?
Wt is the adv. over other imple. scenarios?
In which situation v go for that?
Pls explain me in detail.

In addition to the links provided by Claudia & Suren please look at the following points :
In Classic scenario as you might be knowing, the leading document P.O is in R/3. You can change P.O only in R/3.
So your major control is in R/3.
And you might be knowing SRM is mainly used for Indirect procurement or MRO procurement.
In case you have more direct material procurement and have to use more inventory management, you mainly use classic scenario as you require more control in R/3.
In such a case you use SRM mainly for strategic sourcing activities like Bidding & Live Auction.
