Known issues when switching to Vista

Hi all.

Currently we are using SRM 4.0, server 5.0.

We are switching from Windows XP to Windows Vista within the next months, and so far I have come across SAP note 1094691, where it seems that Internet Explorer 7.0 is not compatible with my SRM version as I only run on support package 8. I have also tested my SRM on this Vista and IE 7.0 setup, and it is not working.

Does anyone else have some experiences with Vista - are special requirements needed, or can an update to support package 11 (at least) do the trick?

Hi Dennis,

be aware of security issues in IE 7and Vista. Certificates and some other things are different.

I have problems importing Certificates for https connections.

As far as I now IE 7 is not released for use by SAP.

Have a look at the service.sap.com/pam and at some existing relevant notes.

Yeah, I imagine - but my SRM 4.0 doesn't work with that browser because I am only on support pack 8 when SAP proposes 11.
