Hi. Find the files sapconn_role.sql and sapdba_role.sql, open from editor and read. Then apply them.

Check the notes 834917, 1028220 , and 134592.

Thanks and regards.

Award is helpful.

Hello Sergo,

Thanks for the replay.

I check the sap note 834917, and the SAPSR3 they have the autorization for the Role SAPCONN.

I am using a user that was created to run the backups, The user has assigned the role:

GRANTEE GRANTED_ROLE DEF

MIDBACKUP SAPDBA YES

MIDBACKUP DBA YES

MIDBACKUP RESOURCE YES

MIDBACKUP CONNECT YES

I do not understand what are the roles that should be assigned this user?

Try giving sysoper (ORA_OPER or ORA_<sid<_OPER) privilege to the user.

Thanks

Hello, Murali.

The authorization for ORA_DBA, ORA_MID_DBA and ORA_MID_OPER, is ok. And the authorization for sysoper and sysdba too.

I tried run the backing directly on the server and the brbackup run OK, with the user "midbackup", but when run since Legato the error is the same, not change.

In that case you need to create an OPS$-User, otherwise the user can´t authenticate against the database.
