Error in schedule line determination

Hi Experts:

I have in customizing the following record to determine schedule line CP

It Ca Typ MSLCat

ZNP CP ZI

Automatically CP is the schedule line to be determine for item category ZNP, and ZI is the Manual schedule line that you can use during sales order processing

The error is that in some sales order when item category is ZNP the proposed schedule line is ZI. I already reviewed the changes log but the item has not been modified.

Did anybody have this error? How did you fix it?

Is a SAP bug?

I would appreciate any help.

Hi,

Check whether you have assigned Schedule line determination with MRP type also.

Say for example, If you assigned

Item cat MRP type Sch cat manual sch cat

ZNP CP ZI

ZNP PD ZI

Like this and when you processing the material with MRP type - PD, system will pickup ZI as the schedule line cat.

Check the MRP types of the material masters you used and compare the MRP types assigned.

Hope this will resolve your problem.

Its very early to conclude it as a SAP Bug.

Can you test with few more examples and explain your problem in details.
