We have created a validation that checks whether the field Code only contains numeric values. This validation has a validation expression of: HAS_ALL_CHARS(Code, 0, 9).
When running this new validation over all the records of the table, it runs OK. The records that have a numeric Code field are successful and the records that have an alphanumeric Code are failing the validation.
However, when the repository is unloaded and loaded again (no actions or changes made in between), the validation doesnt work anymore since all records are now failing the validation!
We use MDM 5.5 SP05 Patch 2 (hotfix 15).

I have came cross this similar situations before but it should been resolved in SP6.
Anyway, for temp workaround, try this:
Instead of just reload repository after it has been unloaded, do a reload with update indicies.
Hope this helps.

Ankit,
The HAS_ALL_CHARS function works on both SP5 and SP6. It works for Haleen on SP5 release as stated on original post message.
Problem here is different validation behavior appears after unload and reload.
Please refer to my previous answer above.

Hi Heelen ,
If you see in the data manger reference guide for SP05, the color of "HAS_ALL_CHARS" is violet.
This means it will not work in SP05 but will be implemented in future .This has been done in SP06.
So the issue you are facing is not actually a problem but that feature is not valid in SP05 but in future versions.
Regards
Ankit
