I think hector you should try it first hand. Cause we have conversion for Litre and Gallon working fine. and the material is only maintained for Litre. I can bet on it works for this situation and am sure would work with other similar conversion say if something is maintained in feet and could be sold in meters and so on and so forth.. hope you get the connection...

Hi,

Weight Unit in the order can be changed only when you maintain the relevant data in the Material Master.

In Material Master you can maintain different weights in the Additional Data -> Unit of Measure. Here you will be able to change the different weight units for the same UOM. Once you maintain different weight units here like Grams, Pounds etc... you will be able to change this in the Sales Order.

Try this, hope this helps.

Thanks

Krishna.

In MM02, maintain the basic unit of measure and the sales unit in the Sales org 1 view..

Also dont forget to maintain the relationship between the two.

Sales unit will be copied in the sales order.

Hope it is useful...

you can maintain the units of measure in the material master record and give the relations between the same as UOM and alternative unit of measure.

If the unit is of the same type i.e., to measure liquids then a inbuilt converter would convert it like wise

Say you ordered 10 Gallons of oil, however in material master its been maintained by liters. then system will automatically convert the same in liters in schedule lines. it would have shown 59.146 L. and the further calculation then would take place like wise.

Hope thats what you needed

Hi Hector,

By saying "determined other weight unit when we created any Sales order" what exactly do you mean.

Is it that you have maintained per KG in Material master and you want to use Pound in Sales order.
