Hi

Can anybody please clarify the following regarding the R/3 transaction code MDM_CLNT_EXTR.

1. What is its purpose?

2. Where does this transaction post the data? Where can we see the posted data?

3. What is meant by target system? Is this the same logical system defined in SALE transaction?

4. Is this transaction overlapping the functionality of MDMC and MDMV?

5. Is there any documentation available on the usage of this transaction?

*Points will be rewarded if the answer is satisfying.*

Ans: MDM_CLNT_EXTR transactin is used to extract/send mass IDoc from source systems. It is also capable of Delta functionality.

2. Where does this transaction post the data? Where can we see the posted data?

Ans: IDocs

3. What is meant by target system? Is this the same logical system defined in SALE transaction?

Ans: Yes, as per ALE/IDocs settings.

4. Is this transaction overlapping the functionality of MDMC and MDMV?

Ans: MDMC and MDMV are used to send single IDoc per record. Whereas MDM_CLNT_EXTR will send single IDoc containing multiple records. It is also capable of Delta functionality.
