Hello Gurus,
I have a requirement where in we need to have delivery split if the all items in the delivery can not be allocated in the same lorry. I have seen the subsequent delivery split function in shipments, creating a profile, and assigning it to the shipment type.
I am not able to save the settings after the split. I want to give the split critieria in such a way that it needs to create a new delivery and should be included in a different shipment number.
Sceanrio :
if the delivery does not fit in a single lorry, they remove some items and they will be sent in a different lorry along with other deliveries. it may happen tht it will be sent after a week also...
Please suggest....

You can use the Subsequent delivery split function to divide up a delivery that does not fit into one shipment and redistribute parts of that delivery to two or more shipments. You can split deliveries on the Shipments and Deliveries overview screen of the Create Shipment or Change Shipment transaction. You can also split handling units, delivery items, and partial quantities of delivery items. You always have the option of running a simulation of the split beforehand.
So that you can use the functionality of the subsequent delivery split, you need to configure the respective settings for the activity subsequent delivery split in the Implementation Guide under the path Logistics Execution - Shipping - Deliveries. Pay attention to the conditions that are listed under the heading Prerequisites.
A delivery split is only allowed, for example, if the delivery has a particular status. This means that, for example, no goods movement, no invoice, and not pick quantity pending confirmation (at least for the split quantity of an item) may exist. The shipment must also be fully processed already. The type of split is controlled through a Split Profile that you define in Customizing and assign to the shipment type. You store a profile for the delivery split before planning and after planning. Whether or not the split deliveries remain in the shipment depends on your Customizing settings:
Before planning: Already when you are making up the shipment, you know that the delivery
needs splitting. The split results and the split remainder remain in the shipment.
I hope your configuration of shipping type is in place.

Hi,
Create a split profile and then assign to your delivery type, then go to T.Code:VLSP give the delivery number and shipping point, split profile select and execute then enter and click simulate button then give the split quantity and save the split, it will save the delivery.
Try this and check if it useful reward points.
Bye,
Anil.

Carrying out the subsequent outbound-delivery split
1. Define the delivery items or quantities that are to be split in one of the following ways:
Double-click a delivery item to split the entire item quantity from the original delivery
If you want to split the entire quantity of a delivery item from the original delivery, choose that item by double-clicking it. The system assigns this item a number, which appears in the list as a current split
result number.
Enter a split result number to split the entire item quantity from the original delivery
Enter a four-digit number of your choice in the Result field.
You can use the result number to control the combination of outbound deliveries that
are involved in the split. If you assign the same result number to the delivery items in
one outbound delivery, these items will remain together and appear in the same split
result after the split. If delivery items have different result numbers, the split
distributes them among several outbound deliveries.
If you selected more than one outbound delivery, please note that result numbers are
only ever valid for one outbound delivery. In other words, the same result numbers
can be assigned in splits of different outbound deliveries. Entire outbound deliveries
cannot be combined by assigning the same result number. Combination by assigning
the same result number is only valid for items, as described above.
Enter a quantity to split a partial quantity
If you only want to split a partial quantity of a delivery item, enter that quantity in the
Split quantity field. The quantity that appears in the Unpacked quantity field is the
maximum quantity that you can enter in the Split quantity field.
Splitting items into different, new deliveries
If you assign different split result numbers for each delivery item in a delivery, you
effectively split up these delivery items and distribute each one to its own separate,
new outbound delivery. You can use the Split Highlight function to highlight the
corresponding rows in different colors.

Hello Jude,
I am doing the same way, when I click on Simulate split on that screen, it splits the outbound delivery into outbound deliveries as per the result number you provide there.
After that I click on save and it is not getting saved. I am canceling the screen by click on X mark because of which no data is saved.
Save button is doing nothing.. I have tried in two different clients... its the same...
Am i missing something here...
plzzz suggest...
