Hi,
Iam doing Proxy Outbound Scenario
Iam doing the following WEBLOG to activate the ABAP Proxy
/people/vijaya.kumari2/blog/2006/01/26/how-do-you-activate-abap-proxies
In this BLOG they have mentioned 3 steps to achieve the requirement.
Do we need to do all these 3 steps in R/3 itself ?? Or do we need to do any one of the step in XI also.
Please Observe the Steps and let me know
Regards
Suman
Hi
You need to do this with R/3 system itself.
In XI, you will have the Business systems with XI adapter, that you need to configure for both Sender and Receiver proxies.
Thanks

Hi,
Activation of proxies is whole and sole R/3 activity

Hi Suman,
If you have read the 1st post of Chirag, he also have suggested for R/3 settings only.
The later part he will be talking about is to mention thoes parameters with Business systems in XI as I have mentioned in my previous post.
I will request you to don't mess up the things of R/3 and XI settings
In R/3
you need to activate the ABP proxy settings as mentioned in the blog
In XI
You need to configure the Business system with Host details of thr R/3 system on whcih you did the proxy settings
I hope now its clear to you. Plz let me know if still there is anything that you needed.
thanks
Swarup
Hi Swarup,
1) you mean to say i need to follow all the steps mentioned in the BLOG purely at R/3 end only????
2) If yes means do i need to create the two RFC's LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI in R/3 side itself????
3) I Already Maintained These two RFC's in XI side. do i need to maintain at R/3 end also ??
4) Should i get the SLDCHECK Success in R/3 also ???
5) Do i need to Create any RFC's or any thing in XI side for this Proxies???
Regards
Suman
Hi Suman
2) If yes means do i need to create the two RFC's LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI in R/3 side itself????
U need to create it in Xi and u need to run the SLDCHECK transaction for testing it should show sucessful message.
3) I Already Maintained These two RFC's in XI side. do i need to maintain at R/3 end also ??
No need to maintained at R3.
4) Should i get the SLDCHECK Success in R/3 also ???
In XI not at r3 end.
Hope u got the answer correct.
Thnx
Chirag
Hi Suma,
I Already Maintained These two RFC's in XI side. do i need to maintain at R/3 end also ??
not required, these are configured from XI side.
Should i get the SLDCHECK Success in R/3 also ???
no, u have to check the SLD conncetion in XI .
Do i need to Create any RFC's or any thing in XI side for this Proxies???
not required, provieded u have done the above stpes.
those are 1.RFC destinations of type H from ECC to XI and XI to ECC
1.configureing business sytem as local integration engine.
please go T.code sproxy...where you have test conncetion.
please check it first.
and let us know, u find any difficulties.
regards
mahesh.
Hi Chirag,

No need to maintained at R3.
4) Should i get the SLDCHECK Success in R/3 also ???
In XI not at r3 end.
Are you sure about this?
You need to establish a connection between your Business system and SLD. So you need these RFCs created in Business system (R/3) also. SLDCHECK should run fine on your Business System also.

Jaishankar
Hi,
I think it is not required.
I suggest suman u try to go with first creating these two RFC's in XI and check the SPROXY transaction to see whether u r getting all the SWCV in Proxy or not?
And if that is not working correclty then as Jai has suggested try to replicate the same on R3 as well.
So that I can also get the perfect and clear picture about the configuration.
Thnx
Chirag

Please don't confuse the guy anymore than he already is.
You DO need to have SLD RFC destinations in ANY abap stack that you want to successfully connect to SLD, be it XI abap stack or R/3 abap stack. Thus, after they are correctly configured (and user properly maintained in SLDAPICUST), the SLDCHECK could be performed in any abap stack in order to check whether the connection to SLD is successful.
For SPROXY to connect to the integration repository, you need to maintain the data in SXMB_ADM of Application Server.

Henrique.
