Jco protocol question

Hi all,

The security and network admin people have asked me the

following questions:

1) What is the protocol used by Jco ?

2) Can it be encrypted ?

3) Which port numbers are used ? ...they must configure a firewall.

4) Can any of this be configured ? where ?

Let's do it the easy way: The protocol is the same as SAP Gui is using. So if you have one running everything is done already. Otherwise tell you Admins that it works exactly as this and they will know.

Does it still hold good almost 20 years later 🙂 --> The underlying protocol used by JCO and SAP GUI is the same?
