Hi
Have you imported the latest SAP Basis 6.4 content after upgrade ? The adapter metadata is part of this content and so make sure this has been done.
Thanks

That is the point. Please check in the integration repository under SAP BASIS 6.40 under details tab. You should be able see which support package available for this software component.
XI Content contains the Adapter's metadata. It is impossible to use the new features and new parameters in integration Directory, if you do not have the new metadata for adapters.
Please follow the note 705514 and update your xi content.

Hai

Hi Umesh
If you are on SP12 you should be able to see the variable substitution option, it would be something like as shown in the following weblog,
/people/sameer.shadab/blog/2005/09/23/an-interesting-usage-of-variable-substitution-in-xi
Check as to which SP level you are in, you can do that by logging into your XI server, from the menu choose, System --> Status --> below Component Version (click on the lens icon) --> check the level there.
cheers

Dear Sameer,
Thanks for reply
I check following link:-
<b>System --> Status --> below Component Version (click on the lens icon) --> check the level there.</b>
There are four entries as follows:-
1) SAP_ABA 640-0014-SAPKA64014-Cross-Application Component
2) SAP_BASIS-640-0014-SAPKB64014-SAP Basis Component
3) PI_BASIS-2005_1_640-0004-SAPKIPYJ64-Basis Plug-In (PI_BASIS) 2005_1_640
4) SAP_BW 350-0014-SAPKW35014-Business Information Warehouse
<b>As you can see above it showing 0014 levelin line 1,2,4
& 0004 in line 3</b>
Can you tell is it ok in case of SP12
Hi Umesh
You are on a higher patch level, SP14. So you should be having the variable substitution option.
Did you recently update to this patch level.
Ok, try this, go to your java webstart.
You can find it under C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_06\javaws
Double-click on javaws application there.
Within that goto,
File>Preferences>Advanced-->Clear Folder
Now log in to your XI server and access your Integration Builder page by running TCode SXMB_IFR, and go into your Integration Directory and see if you have the option of variable substitution.
Hope this helps,
cheers
Sameer
