MDM Qulified Table Query

Hi All,

I am facing one problem in MDM that in MDM Material Master repository.... i have qualified multivalue field called location data.....and inside this Location data.... plant as a non qualifier field when i select the plant respective qualifier field will occure. my question is when i select plant for e.g IM11 then it should allow me select only once not to reapeating IM11 again. how to handle this duplicay data inside qulified multi value field(Location Data)..... ideally it should allow me to select plant only once not duplicate .... even i wrought validation on this but it is not working. So if you have any idea abt to slove this problem through MDM level or by wrighting validation. please let me know its urgent.

Hi Jignesh,

Ur problem is not very much clear.

Try making ur non qualifier filed as Unique in Console.

In my qualifier table, plant is my non-qualifier field. My question is, i couldnot avoid the duplicacy in my non-qualifier field.

to make it clear, i select a plant IM11 and i maintain the qualifier field values for that non-qualifier IM11.

the system is allowing me to select the same IM11 plant second time and creates a duplicate non-qualifer value. Ideally i dont want any duplicacy in my qualifier table. i.e., i dont want to maintain two IM11 plants in the qualifier table.

How to avoid duplicacy in my non-qualifier values..??

i tried making the non-qualifier field unique..but it doesnot solve my problem..and even i tried duplicacy check through validation..but its not working..

Pls feel free for any further clarification...

Hi jignesh

Some thoughts:

Non qualifiers will have different values based upon varying qualifiers. Eg Price will change based on region and manufacturer.Price is non qualifier here and region/manufacturer are qualifiers.

Going by your problem Plant is Non qualifier?Is it correct?Just wanted to check for sure.

For diff regions/manufacturer same product can have diff prices.

In ur case for different values of qualifiers u want the same Non qualifier which is plant? Is that right?

yaa in my case plant is non qualifier just like price in your example
