I have 3 questions to ask:
1. Plz tell me what should I write in the SAP release field for an Idoc reciever at the communication channel in Intg Directory.
2.plz tell me the difference between Business service with and without party.
Also what is the difference between business process and business service and which one to use when??
3.also tell me that when we use BPM in our scenario ,the Integration process that is creted is only creted in the Intg Repository only or elsewhere??
Kindly answer my doubts.
Thanx
Pankaj.
>For your first question
You have to enter 640 or 700 based on SAP WebAS
>For your third question
You have to create only in IR.
>For second question
Business Service is used to define your Sender/Receiver system
Business Process is nothing but BPM(Integration Process) which also acts as Sender/Receiver.

Hi,
Please find here with you the answers to your questions
1. Plz tell me what should I write in the SAP release field for an Idoc reciever at the communication channel in Intg Directory.
Here you need to specify the SAP release version as below
4.6C ---> 46C (Value to be put in SAP release)
6.20 ---> 620
6.40 ---> 640
This gives the information about the receiver SAP system
See below link to configure IDOC adapter with all required parameters

2.plz tell me the difference between Business service with and without party.
Also what is the difference between business process and business service and which one to use when??
Practically Service with Party should be used for Cross Company processes or B2B integration (Business to Business) and the Service without party is specifically used for A2A communication (Applicatioon to Appluication).

BPM is used to enable flexible, model driven process design, implementation, execution and support within and across business applications.
You could model the various processes from application to application or Business to Business in various orgnizations.

Hi
1.Plz tell me what should I write in the SAP release field for an Idoc reciever at the communication channel in Intg Directory.
Ans. To convert the data from IDoc XML to IDoc format, the receiver IDoc adapter requires the IDoc metadata. If the IDoc metadata is not available, it will be loaded from the receiver system. Specify the current release of the receiver system(R3). you can check the release from system statusin r3.
2.plz tell me the difference between Business service with and without party ?
Ans.we are using party when we are comuunicating with third party systems(system which are not in same landscape).......and without party within the samelandscape.
and .....business process is nothing but only BPM....we are using as integeration process in ID...business service is used as sender or receiver of message...
3. also tell me that when we use BPM in our scenario ,the Integration process that is creted is only creted in the Intg Repository only or elsewhere??
ANS. you use bpm when you want to control the process.......we are using BPM in synchronous or asynchronous communicatio......yes we can create bpm in ir only.

2.plz tell me the difference between Business service with and without party.
Also what is the difference between business process and business service and which one to use when??
Refer the below link for more info:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/06/18ba91813cee4c8eacea4fcf0b46c6/frameset.htm
Difference between business sytem and business service is:
Business system:
If you want to address a particular business system as the sender or receiver of messages, choose this service type.
A business system is an actual application system in a system landscape. A business system (service) comprises information about the inbound and outbound interfaces and the software component versions of the business system.
You usually use business system services when configuring internal company processes.
Its phisically existing sytem take a example of R3 system when u go for IDOC or proxy scenario that time u create a Bsystem for R3 in SLD and use that in Configuration scenario.
Business service:
If you want to address an abstract business entity as the sender or receiver of messages, choose this service type.
Using a business service, you can define the technical or business subunits of the companies involved and then assign them the relevant interfaces.
You usually use business services when configuring cross-company processes. In this case, you only make your interfaces known to the business partners involved and either do not make any details about your own system landscape available, or only specific details.
For example, you can define RosettaNet Partner Interface Processes (PIPs) as business services.
3.also tell me that when we use BPM in our scenario ,the Integration process that is creted is only creted in the Intg Repository only or elsewhere??
Refer typical use cased to go for BPM in below link:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/3c/831620a4f1044dba38b370f77835cc/frameset.htm
it is created in IR but u need to import it in ID which configuration.
Thnx
Chirag

Hi.
1. Depending upon u r web as system version mention that version in sap release.
2. Partys are used when u go for B-B configuration means..if u have another partner ...want to communicate with him..u go for partyes...
for A-A communication we go for service with out partys,,means within in the organizations
Busyness process is BPM used when u go for intergration process ...else we go for busyness service or system
3.BPM is used when u communicate synchrous and asynchronous sys and for merging and splitting and stateful coommunications
thanq
