Hi,

As far as I know and have already answered by Chirag & Raj,

Generally JDK 1.4.2 is the standard version available for XI

Refer SAP Note 801868 for it

JDK 1.3 and 1.4 are probably manageble with XI 2.0 and XI 3.0 with intial SPs, approximately up to SP 8.

XI 3.0 SP 8 onwards you should use minimum JDK 1.4.2.

2) What is the standard JDK version for XI to didnt get any Errors of java.

JDK 1.4.2 is the standard version available for XI. Its always suggested to use the latest JDV versions. It will be good to avoid any kind of abrrupt problems.

3) Whene ever i am activating the Object in IR iam getting the Error like some Jco error ...

See if you could try this

login to J2EE Visual aadmin>cluster>services.JMS connector>runtime(Righ side tab)->check the factories/destinations

Still there are problems for activating then refer SAP Note 764176.

Hi Suman,

I am not getting you exactly. The JDK version is freely available at

http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp

Anyone can download it. And you need to upgrade it on your client systems.

With JDK 1.3 you can't have any alternative to work the scenario, have to go for upper version. Even you can't use JDK1.5 as its not supported by SAP XI.

Which SP you are using with XI 3.0

Thanks

Ok,

We will try to Update the Version...

Do we need to Update the version in Server orr is it enough to update it on Client machines itself???

Hi,

JDK 1.4.2 version used if u go for higher version then sometime it will give errors in IR and ID. Some of the tab options in IR will be disabled.

So recommended is 1.4.2

I think JCO erro comes because java is not installed properly.

Thnx

Suman,

As far as I know/heard that XI don't face any issues with JDK1.4.2 . I'm using the JDK 1.6 I'm not facing any issues too. I would suggest u to upgraded to 1.4.2.
