Hi

for posting IDOCs to SAP what is the recommended SAP Profile for the RFC user's SU01 record ? As I do not want to use SAP_ALL SAP_NEW as I want this narrowed down, tight and secure.

Hi,

Try using SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION role under the authority object S_RFC.

This should solve your issue.

Should have mentioned that using 46C and that pfcg profile does not exist,

But you are correct about SRFC The authorization profile of the user must contain the S_RFC authorization object, whereby the fields are filled as follows:

ACTVT: 16

RFC_TYPE: FUGR

RFC_NAME: and this to contain the list of the function groups antipated to be executed

in my case I will try adding in SYST, SYSU, ARFC, ERFC, EDIN

plus user requires B_ALE_RECV authorization object, whereby the EDI_MESTYP field is filled with the list of the message types of the IDocs to be processed.
