How to customize webgui so that it displays in handheld terminals

Dear All,

How to customize the webgui so that it displays properly

in a hand held terminal. I want to use it for warehouse RF

transactions. Currently I am not able to scroll and see the

full options in menu LM00 when I see it thru a Windows CE

based hand held teminal.

How to enable scroll in webgui ?

regards

magi

Hi,

My problem is solved. I copied webgui service to another service and suppressed the menu, title etc. The following

parameters I had put in the new service I created.

~NOHEADEROKCODE 1

~GENERATEDYNPRO 1

~WEBTRANSACTIONTYPE EWT

No when I invoke the LM00 transaction with this new service

I am getting the scrollbar.

Hi Megi,

the WebGui is not for mobile devices. Here you investigate time with get a productive application.

There are to many thinks that you must to make it usable.

You must generate for the mobile screens templates.

Otherwise you will have problems with:

- CSS integration

- performance on mobiles (because the will be send to much to the client)

- no device enablements over Equi-Tags

- no integration of ActiveX (for RFID or f.e. a scale integration)

- no possibility to change on color of on special button or an other screen element

- no possibility to change the JavaScript when you want change the client logic

(sometimes you must to build up a workaround, because the mobile device are not always work like they should)

- no possibility to be flexibel to enable or realize more functionalities (mobile-logon, several services with seperate individual changes / over querrystring parameter... and more)

Which device do you will use?

Hi Magi,

customizing the Webgui for running it using a hend held

device is not possible. But you may consider to create

ITS mobile enabled templates for certain screens.

ITS mobile might help you in using your hand held device.
