Hi All,
What is the relevance of header text in sales order:
i.e. In sales order- header - in text tab page:
1) what is form header
2) Header note 1
3) Header note 2
What are the relevance of these and what sd consultant do with abaper?
Again in the item detail - text tab page--
what is the relevance of material sales tax.
Please guide me on this.

Hi,
Header Text : This is used to bring the customer related texts like for example, Shipping Instructions for this Customer should be direct etc.
For this we can have separate Text IDs : Shipping Instructions.
Item Text : This is normally used to maintain long texts related to Material.
ex. : This material has to be shipped within 7 days etc...
At the item level we maintain separate Text IDs.: Special Shipping Instructions
These texts can be maintained directly in the order or can be copied from the Customer and Material Masters to the Sales Order.
The Configuration for these like creation of Text IDs, Text Procedure, Access Sequence and Text Procedure Determination can be seen in Transaction Code VOTXN.
Hope this helps.
Thanks
Krishna.

Hi
Wrt material sales text: In case of a scenario wherein you want to transfer text from a preceding document to an invoice, you can use the header note 1 for changing the header text on the invoice.
And you would use the material sales text to either transfer information or change text information at the item level.
Cheers

Ashish,
Texts are used for Passing the Information from One Document to another.
So we have many heads for each text types
for e.g
We want to delivery details or precation We have one text
DELIVERY DETAILS
some information to be passed on INCOTERMS
then we have INCOTERMS text type created.
regards
KRSNA
