System generated reservations against WBS

Through transaction CN22, we can create new demands with reference to network. In this case, I found some material get assigned to WBS element and some do not.

It means after adding in CN22, when I check the material in MD04, for some materials I found demand is with WBS and with some materials it is not with WBS.

I want to understand why it is so ? Can anybody help ?

Hi,

Only stock materials (cat:L) participate in MRP and requirement figure in MD04. As you know, MD04 is "Stock /requirements List".

Stock materials with "individual requirement" (material master- MRP4 - Individual /Coll -1) will generate reservation for WBS. Stcok materials with collective (2) requirement create network reservation.

When you you enter non-stock materials (Cat:N) into network activity, you have two options:

Create purchase requisition for network

Third party order.

Depending on the option you choose, sytem creates appropriate purchase requisition.

But these non-stock materials will not figure in MD04.
