Validity period in CCM items

Hi Gurus,

I am working with SAP CCM 2.0 (SRM 5.5).

Do you know if CCM is posible to add a validity period in items? This validity period has to be useful, I mean, I don't need just a new characteristic (without functionallity). Another option could be that was the supplier catalog that has the validity period.

If the period is not valid, then the item cannot be purchased or seen by the end user. Also, the catalog manager shouldn't wait until last minute to publish new prices.

If it is not posible, do you know if is posible in SAP MDM?

Hi,

Catalog(CCC, SRM-MDM) can have fields validity_start and validity_end and you can check it in BADI BBP_CATALOG_TRANSFER.

Real-time check to display catalog items is system performance challenge. Deleting expired items by batch job may be a solution.

So, Should I create new characteristics for start and end date in CCM?

Because I am not able to find these characteristics as standard.

And also I am not able to find a data type as date to create the new characteristics.

Hi,

Please try this.

DataType;DATE;DATE;Date Characteristic;VALID_FROM;DATE;false;VALID_FROM

Characteristic;VALID_TO;DATE;false;VALID_TO

Value format must be ISO format YYYY-MM-DD.
