XI .. j2ee engine dead..

Dear frnds,

I am in a horrible situation...

with the help of SDN i managed to install XI 3.0.

now aftering doing a sample scenario..i just shut it down and went home..the next day i came..

the sxmb_ifr ...is saying page cannot be displayed...

-


now i did SLDCHECK.....

and saw all the connections are RED then going into debugging..

i found the J2ee engine is not starting in mean when i tried to login through the default connection..a error is coming with the PORT NUMBER..

so simple stuck up no clues ..what to do....

PLS HELP.....

Hi,

please refer below links may be you will get help from it

Check the default trace.

H:\usr\sap\J2E\JC00\j2ee\cluster\server0\log\defaultTrace.0.trc

try to follow below steps,

1.Stop all SAP instances

2.Stop the DB

3.Stop the listner

Logoff, and logon to the server as <sid>adm

then:

1.Start the listner (dos window ---> lsnrctl start)

2.Start the DB

3.Start the SAP Instances

but can u guess what is tehreason for sucha situation...

Hi,

there could be a lot of different reasons. Maybe you shut it down as you write in you initial post.

You have to check the trace file to find out why J2EE engine is off. Maybe your sample scenario causes problem like OOM. Normally it does not happen without reasons.

hong thx for the reply....

So do u say...restarting the j2ee engine is only solution..

and even after that if it doesnt work then ...whats the next thing we can do...

or re-installing ...or repairing kind of thing is there..
