My company has implemented 2 Systems SAP Landscape with one development and one production server and have been running well for few years .Those SAP systems are running on R/3 Enterprise 4.7 (Kernel Release 6.20) with Microsoft SQL 2000 as database server.
We never implement and use SAP solution Manager so far. Now, Am I able to deploy SAP Solution Manager 4.0 into the exiting SAP Landscape ?If yes ,How can I go about to deploy the Solution manager so that it can be safely intergrated with the exitsing Development and Production systems ?
Thanks.
Leon
Hi Leon,
Yes you can, please read the documentation how to install SAP Solution Manager (you need a new server for this solution manager)
for solution manager you can read in
http://service.sap.com/solutionmanager
Then you can use solution to:
1. Monitoring system (include diagnostic)
2. Earlywatch report
3. Service Desk
4. Central Customizing
5. Patch Management (apply patch)
6. etc.

Fendi
