XI 7.0 installation error

During installtion of XI 7.0 at the phase of checking DDIC password ,the system popped up a message " test logon to SAP system SID failed .Make sure that the system is started that the user DDIC exists and the password of user DDCI is correct ".

I tried to login with the assigned password but it didnt work . I have chosen "ok" to that message now the installation is going on.....what was the cause for that message .would it create any problem during the time of login (after finished the installation)

The installation will stop again shortly before it finishes because it will need to start some programs via RFC and logon to the system. If the DDIC password doesn't work then it can't logon and will prompt you again for it.

The password is given as "master password" during installation. This one should be used.
