XI 7.0 Installation error

During installtion of XI 7.0 at the phase of checking DDIC password ,the system popped up a message " test logon to SAP system SID failed .Make sure that the system is started that the user DDIC exists and the password of user DDCI is correct ".

I tried to login with the assigned password but it didnt work . I have chosen "ok" to that message now the installation is going on.....what was the cause for that message .would it create any problem during the time of login (after finished the installation)

Hi Daniel,

Usually when it prompts for password you have to start server then give password.I guess you didn't start server at that stage thats why you got message "test logon to SAP system SID failed .Make sure that the system is started that the user DDIC exists and the password of user DDCI is correct ".

It wouldnt be a problem after installation.when you try to login with user DDIC just use password 19950706.

Please let me know if there are any issues.
