Queries regarding N:1 Mapping

Hello XI Experts,

I have gone through one the most popular weblog on N:1.

/people/pooja.pandey/blog/2005/07/27/idocs-multiple-types-collection-in-bpm

I have some queries regarding this...

1. In Step 3, while creating message interfaces...which message type we have to select for MI_NOM_ABS (Abstract Asynchronous)

2. In Step 4, in Message mappings...which messages we have to select as a source and target messages for all the 4 Mappings of;

MM_ISU_UKGAS_NOM1_to_NOM1_ABS

(ii) MM_ISU_UKGAS_NOM2_to_NOM2_ABS

(iii) MM_ISU_UKGAS_NOM3_to_NOM3_ABS

(iv) MM_ISU_UKGAS_NOM_to_NOM_ABS

Do the needful.

use MT_NOM

>Question 2

First 3 mappings source and target are same in Message Mapping, in case of Interface Mapping Outbound IDOC to Abstract IDOC.

4th mapping 3 IDOC's as the source , MT_NOM as the target.

What would the message type be for the below Message Interface.

MI_NOM_IB (Inbound Asynchronous)

Would it be the MT_NOM ? If it is then there will be two Message Interfaces for one Message Type. MT_NOM .

Yes. One is for Inbound and other one for Abstract.

Do we need to create message interfaces for Outbound Idoc's?

otherwise, can we use the same Idoc structure as a Outbound interface?

If it is...where would we specify that is a outbound interface?!

Create normal Message Interface and assign the IDOC to it. Define it as Outbound.
