Dear Experts,
What i think:
one sales org can have more than one distribution channel. One distribution channel can have more than one plant.
can the same plant be assigned to a different sales organization?
s001(sales org)->dc01(distribution chnnl)->p001(plant)
s001(sales org)->dc02(distribution chnnl)->p001(plant).....is possible
s001(sales org)->dc01(distribution chnnl)->p001(plant)
s001(sales org)->dc02(distribution chnnl)->p001(plant)
s002(sales org)->dc03(distribution chnnl)->p001(plant)....is this possible..in the sense ..can the same plant exist in more than one sales org...

hi,
let me also try add something.
one sales org can have more than one distribution channel. One distribution channel can have more than one plant.
A sales org is at a higher level perhaps at the company VP level for a particular activity like Sales in this case. Now under the sales org depending how the products are reahcing the distribution channels are desinged. We may require a direct, wholesale, retail, institutional etc.
A distributino channel does not have any plant as such but a combination of sales org and distribution channel is assigned to a plant meaning the products available in that plant can be sold through this distribution under this sales org. This way if a sales org is having whole sale and institional sale, then we would make both the Sorg + DC 1 and Sorg + DC2 to that plant assignment.
Can the same plant be assigned to a different sales organization?
We assign a sales org + DC combination to a plant allowing sales trhough that combination.
can the same plant exist in more than one sales org...
Correction again, You can depeding on the requirement assign any number of sales orgs' to a plant.

HI Sampath
The are four kind of Relations in SAP
1 - One to Many
2 - Many to One
3 - Many to Many
4 - One to One
for Sales Org/D.channel to Plant relation is Many to Many
means one sales org can have Many Plants
and One Plant can be assigned to Many Sales. Org/D.channels.
Another Example
One Company code can have Many Plants
this is One to Many Relations.
