How to check SXMB_ADM?

Former Member

In the XI trouble-shooting guide, it says:

Make sure your business system is set up as follows:

1. Transaction SXMB_ADM

- Role of System: Application System

- Corresponding Integration Server:

dest://<your_sm59_http_destination>

However, I do not see any button would lead to above info.

Please advise. Points guaranteed. Thanks

Hi Guest,

Looking at your query, i believe you are trying to configure your ECC or Business Suite or Netweaver based system integration with your either XI or PI.

Configure this back-end system tasks please follow the instructions:

1. Logon to your system

2. execute transaction 'SXMB_ADM'

3. Double Click on 'Integration Engine Configuration' under Configuration

4. Choose 'Change Global Configuration Data' from "Edit" menu (this help you make changes)

5. Under "Global Configuration Data", Set 'Role of Business System' as "Application System"

Please note - You basically have 3 options, Application System, Integration Server, Not Yet Configured so for your scenario you need to set "Application System"

6. Under "Global Configuration Data", Set 'Corresponding Integ. Server' as "dest://<XIRFC>"

Please note - this XIRFC or as mentioned in your question ( dest://<your_sm59_http_destination>) is basically you need to create first under SM59. This RFC is HTTP Connection to ABAP systems (i.e Type H). Ideally you can name this RFC as <XI system SID><Client number><H> (for example XIP200H). Please ensure to purform connection test works fine before you use it to configure your Integration Engine using SXMB_ADM.

I am sure these instruction will help to configure your back end system.s

Hi Guest,

Can you provide more information about your landscape?

Which version of PI are you configuring?

Click on Integration Engine configuration in that screen.

First box --> Drop down and select Application Server
