Improve Performance of SRM Application

Hi,

The architecture of SRM application we use is Classic Model with Material Managed by MDM.

The SRM application that we use via web-browser is very slow.

Example 1. When user clicks on Shopping Cart Full Functionality

Please Wait Application is being loaded. <===== Takes a long time

Example 2. Retrieving old SC take a long time too.

Any approaches/suggestions to debug the slow response and improve on it.

Also In general does SRM 5.0 has performance improvements over SRM 4.0 (current version we are using)

Also are there any documents that present the key improvements from SRM 4.0 to SRM 5.0?

And is it better to go to SRM 6.0 or wait since its just released?

Hi Nikhil,

SRM 5.0 its about the same in the performance as SRM 4.0.

I do not think SRM 6.0 (or SRM 2007) will be faster.

As Masa wroted a trace with st05 would be useful to see, whether do you have a proper network or not..

How about ST05 Performance Trace ? Do you use integrated ITS or external ITS ? 32bit

or 64 bit platform ? How many concurrent users ? How many old shopping carts ?

Are you sure that the Network between SRM, MDM, (the Backbone SAP)

and client is suitable for the expected Performance?

What performance do you get in SAP-Gui

and what times are shown in the transactions st03n and st04 or st07
