Can webdynpro be run on IDES server with EP

Dear All,

Please clarify few questions,

i have installed ECC6.0 Abap+Java with usage type EP.

Now, can i use it with webdynpro applications using enterprise portal,

secondly after installtion of IDES when i tried to login to EP using URL it gives error saying user doesn't have proper authorization.

Please assist me..

Hi Shark,

You can use webdynpro.There shuold not be any problem.

As you have a add-in installation you have to use the user

j2ee_admin and its password to login.

Mostly EP system should be installed as a stand alone java stack,any how this is ides so should not be a problem.

could you assist me to proceed using webdynpro, as this is the first time i am doing it.

only of our consultant wanted this.

Here i just installed the IDES server .no idea how to proceed

Hi Shark,

AS far as i know you can create a webdynpro application using the SE80. ask your developer to just test some functionality,

and also check whether you are able to login in the visual admin with the user j2ee_admin. I not very sure but for some application we need to activate some of sicf services.
