Error in Sender mail Adapter

Hi

I am getting the following error in Sender Mail Adapter Communication channel monitoring

exception caught during processing mail message; java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused

What could be possible the reason...??How to get this?

Try to restart the j2ee engine

Tcode=SMICM .

it shouls work.
