Host name for R/3

Hi,

I was getting the error when when i try to use SPROXY in R/3 and in XI.

with some blog i could make XI work fine for SPROXY. but unable to make SPROXY work on R/3.

when i run SLDCHECK on R/3 sytem, host name it was taking was wrong.

here it is: http://wdf9272:50000/sld

why it is taking wdf9272 as hostname? host name should be starxi.

from where it is taking?

could somebody tell me, where can i change this?

thanks in advance.

I changed the hostname in tcode: LCRSERVADDR. that is instead of wdf9272 , changed to starxi.

now i can run SLDCHECK. which opens up the IE and after providing the logon details, it gives me SLD.

but in SAP sytem SLDCHECK throws me an exception:

" Exception in SLD Client: AbapSLDRequestHandler.ping(): Server Connection * * * failed * * * "

And still getting the below error when i exicute tcode:SPROXY

No Connection to Integration Builder (Only Local Data Visible)

Hi Prema,

Could you please check entried in Tcode- RZ70 in R/3.

SLD Bridge: Gateway Information

Host: <XI Host Name>

if it couldnt solve your issue please go through the Various checks given in Notes -768452,1057720.

Please let me know if there are any issues.

Cheers,

Hi Prema,

Certainly because your SLD was NOT installed on the same server than your XI...

For instance, in my project we have this situation.

¤ SLDCHECK check your connection to SLD => http://wdf9272:50000/sld, so your SLD server is wdf9272 !

¤ SPROXY use the XI server => server = starxi (in your example)

Regards.

Pinkle,

The entry in SLDAPICUST in R/3 sytem is:

Alias: DA8

Prim: (ticked)

Host Name: changed to starxi (was wdf9272, with this, it was not working )

port: 50000

user: changed to sapuser (was xiappluser)

Hi Prema Boodi,

Could you please re-check you configuration setting as given in the following blog.

/people/vijaya.kumari2/blog/2006/01/26/how-do-you-activate-abap-proxies

Do Following checks.

A. As per step 1 in document did you give correct Target Hostname (SAP ServerName)

2 Target Host: System name

B. Have you selected Role of Business System as Application system

3. Select Role of Business System: Application system
