why am I not seeing file.encoding option in file sender/receiver communicat

Good Morning Everyone,,

I am not able to find file.encoding option in both sender/receiver communication channels on my XI system. Is it something to do with Java Runtime character sets installed on the XI system?

Do we need to setup something to make it available? thanks in advance...

Please verify if you have selected the File system as NFS instead of FTP.

No luck.. It is NFS and I also verified selecting Multiple files option; still don't see that "file encoding" parameter.

This is PI 7.0 SP06 system.

I have access to another PI server with SP12, where I can see those two parameters without any problem.

Any other thoughts...

selecting Multiple files option

The checkbox option u should select is "Additional File(s)"

There u couldnt see the option directly. Rather u have to configure it as shown here

Hi,

Please specify File Type parameter as Text (By default it is Binary)

For File type parameter Text the file encoding will be displayed, UTF-8 is by default encoding used.

This option is available in sender file adapter for NFS. And that too only when u use "Specify Additional Files"
