double brarchive on disk and then on tape

I would like to configure this kind of offline redo logs backup.

First to copy them from the /oracle/SID/saparch directory to another directory /arch_backup on the same server.

Then to save them from /arch_backup to tape.

Which brarchive options I should use to do that ?

Hi Roberto,

You can use other method also

that is Disk backup then contine with Tape backup.

First you backup the archive to disk

and move the disk backup to tape

Please look at below parameter in init<SID>.sap for your disk backup.

backup_dev_type = disk

compress = no (please read the documentation)

archive_copy_dir = /oracle/<SID>/sapbackup

you need 2 init<SID>.sap file for disk and for tape.

You can also seach ini SAP help for the config.
