Hi Gurus,

Pls advice me on folowing.

We have made to stock scenario.

While preparing sales order how would system know that it is which case, made to stock, made to order, discreet mfg, repetative mfg.

Can any one please tell me all differnt types of cases with examples .

Hello,

The system differentiates each scenario depending on the item category.

For example - TAK - make to order; TAN - made to stock etc.

Further, you can see which type of material is processed if you go to the Procurement tab in the overview screen of the sales order.

Dude if you maintain make to order type in material master, after you save the order the mm will get an production order. Once the material is produced it will be posted to inventory against the same order and no other. after that you can deliver the material and bill. the setting is in MRP type of the material. This entry effect the schedule line category which inturn affect the MM or PP side...

hi,

you check the requirement type in the procurement tab of the sales order screeen.

this determines the type sales order which is being processed.

requirment is determined based on the strategy group in the material master and item cat + MRP type combination.
