Former Member

Hi people,

I have not worked in Interactive forms yet.

Just now the Basis Guy installed the ADS service.

Now he is asking me to test whether we can work with Interactive forms.. And check whether u can work Interactive form in sfp transaction.

(Before that i was encountering an error "Device type is not suitable for the Printer)

So.. Now how can i test ?? can i test a standard interactive form .. so that i can see the print preview and can ensure that i can develop an offline interactive form....

hope i can get the right guidance..

Hallo,

Thank you very much for reply.

I checked them both, the service user and the system user (adsuser, ads_agent).

The ADS_AGENT has the role SAP_BC_FP_ICF. The system is a NW7 SPS 13 doubleStack System, so this should be enough.

The service /fpads and the role SAP_BC_FPADS_ICF will the next step...

Any more ideas?

best regards

Hello,

in the Browser:

Your question about checking service in J2EE Server:

http://<Server>:<Port>/AdobeDocumentServices/Config <--caseSensitive)

in transaction SA38:

FP_CHECK_DESTINATION_SERVICE

There are a bulk of tests: check Sap Note 999998

FP_PDF_TEST_00

FP_TEST_00

FP_TEST_IA_01

online Help:

http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_03/helpdata/DE/37/504b8cbc2848a494facfdc09a359b1/frameset.htm

After all this i have to tell you: i'm having the same problem!

The third test (FP_TEST_IA_01) throws without a Dialog where i can choose a printer:

ADS: Request start time: Mon Mar 03 18:10:03 GMT+01:00 2008(200.101).

Did anyone else had and fixed this issue? Please help...

Hi,

please check if you're using the right role for the ADS Agent!

--> SAP_BC_FP_ICF or SAP_BC_FPADS_ICF

Test it first with SAP_BC_FP_ICF and if it doesn't work try SAP_BC_FPADS_ICF.

Matthias

Hi Rithu,

Have you already tested the HTTP data transfer and the destination service?

--> call transaction: SA38 now you can use the following programs to test

- FP_CHECK_DESTINATION_SERVICE

- FP_CHECK_HTTP_DATA_TRANSFER

- FP_PDF_TEST_01

--> you should also check if you're using the right role for the ads agent

(SAP_BC_FP_ICF or SAP_BC_FPADS_ICF).

--> check the ICF Services (transaction SICF):

- default_host -> sap -> bc -> fp

- default_host -> sap -> bc -> fpads

--> go to transaction SM59 an test you RFC connection to ext. Server

--> test the ICF service with your browser:

http://<AS ABAP>:<HTTP-Port>/sap/bc/fp/form/layout/fp_test_00.xdp

user: ads_agent

pw: <your-password>

Matthias

Hi,

The program FP_PDF_TEST_00 will give the version info.

Run the standard program FP_EXAMPLE_01 and give the correct device type.

you cna specify the device type in fp_outputparams-dest parameter.

Please check and let us know.

Hello Rithu,

there's a problem with calling the ADS. Unfortunately, it visibly only returns the

start time message. Probably, there's an error.pdf on your application server that

contains more details. My suggestion is to check for that. In case that doesn't

work out, please verify ADS configuration.

Best regards,

Thomas
