Hi,
I am working with Portal Eventing. The Portal is at
host1.xxx.com
The WDA Applications are at
host2.xxx.com
Portal Eventing is not working.
To make sure that it is a domain relaxing issue, I created and tested the eventing between 2 BSP IViews.
In the BSP Application when I relax the domain to xxx.com (using Javascript and changing value of document.domain) , the Eventing works.
So for my WebDynpro Applications I need to relax the domain to xxx.com.
But how to do this in WenDynpro since you cannot use Javascripts as in BSP ....?
Also, somewhere I read that the UME Logon level can be changed to relax the domain when the user logs to the UME. Is this the Option ?
Will Setting ume.logon.security.relax_domain.level=1 , change the domain in UME to xxx.com ?
You may also want to make sure that your Portal page is not loading backend content with multiple protocols. For example, if you log on to your Portal in HTTP but the connection to the WDA application is HTTPS, Portal eventing will not work.

Hi,
Looks like Domain Relaxing IS OCCURING in WDA. I did a some research and the WDA Runtime loads a MIME Javascript file DomainRelaxing.js which dies domain relaxing.
So the domain of WDA is xxx.com and matches witht hat of portal.
Even then the Eventing does not work.
We are on SP13. ANy idea if this is a bug in Sp13 ?
Anybody made Portal Eventing work in SP13 ?
Thanks
