Solution Manager 4.0 SR3 and ERP ECC 6.0 on the same server

Hi!

MS WinServer2003 + MS SQL 2005 + Solution Manager 4.0 + ERP ECC 6.0 ...on the same server

are there any guides for this scenario?

any links, tips and suggestions are welcome!!

You can certainly install this technically - but I would avoid doing so.

Solman is a complete ABAP + Java instance needing quite some memory you won't have for your ERP system. Sizing and maintaining such a complex installation can be pretty difficult.

but is it enough to just use two different SIDs at installation or do i have to do some other tweaking?

will the installation of ecc after sm override db-schema in ms sql server?

PS: this is going to be just a demo system with practically no or minimal workload

You give a different schema/<SID> and sapinst will take care of the rest - technically it's not a problem.

Make sure you have enough memory in that box - otherwise the "demo people" will just sit there and wait
