Hello SAP Gurus:

Can you guide to solve this issue with the installation of SAP Enterprise server 4.7 R/3 ides

It went through smoothly till it came to Oracle Pre-Load Actions when it gave the following :

CJS-00084 SQL statement or Script failed. Error Message : Executable is D:\oracle\ora92/bin/sqlplus exe.returns 3

Thanks in advance for your kind replies.

Hi Deepak,

Please copy the dump once more. It might happen that dump is not copied correctly or while when you have copied the data third party s/w have corrupted it.

Please try disabling any other antivirus s/w while you copy the data.

Hope it helps.

Cheers

I have faced similar problem many times. This problem mainly arises due to incorrect copy of data from CD to HDD (while creating the Dump on HDD, also a binary comparison does not show any difference between CD & HDD data).

I resloved it by changing the CD Drive, and starting the installation from begining after copying the Export Dump to HDD. The installation goes thru smoothly thereafter.

this is probably a bug in this sqlplus version.

try to identify which script is executed (see sapinst logfile for more details).

edit the script and delete the line containing

whenever oserror exit...

Peter thanks for the reply.

But is there a solution for this problem like installing a patch for oracle. I have pathced the oracle with 9.2.0.2.1 but still receives the same error.

Editing the script might cause improper installation of R/3?

OR will it work properly.

Can i use SQL 2000 to do the installation instead of oracle please let me know.

Thanks,

Deepak.
