Abt BOM. in contract sales order & in bill

Our client have one reqiuirement.

They are in to contract with customer for a year then they recieve PO. As per that PO they put sales order in frerence to contract(qty). In qty con. we have BOM.

N\Nw they wnt to copy n chage the sequence of the items with qty which are there in the BOM. Is it possible. waiting for ur positive reply.

Change the BOM if its a header level BOM there won't be any implications, however if it's item level then you'll have to change the contract...

Dear Nitin,

1) You can only add sub-item to the BOM or remove from the existing, but you can't insert in between the sub-item once you exploded the BOM in Sales Order.

2) After alteration of it you will loose the functionality of Delivery Group, which is a key benefit of BOM configuration.

Please correct me if wrong.
