I want to add new fields to Addtional Data B screen for Sales Orders (VA01/02/03). I see that there are 2 screen exits 8309 and 8310.
Please help me understand the use of these screens. When to use 8309 and when to use 8310.

This is a basic question. Directly you create a lyout in the respective screen no and see what is the difference.

I know this is a very old thread, but maybe I can help somebody with this.
You use 8309 in the "Header data - Additional Data B" tab.
You use 8310 in the "Overview - Sales" tab. Dynpro 8310 is displayed as a subscreen, between the standard header fields and item's table control on that tab (dynpro 4440).

In program SAPMV45A, in the screens for additional data B, you can create your own fields Additional data fields of sales documents. To do this, in the Screen Painter (Transaction SE51), change thefollowing screens:
for fields on header level screen 8309
for fields on item level screen it is 8459 not 8310
