first go to service and check your both instace is running or not
if its not running then go to following step
if you r using windows then go to windows -system32 -sapstartsrv.exe
and login
user name for login SAPServiceVXD (VXD is my system ID)

I have done what u said... but its asking for following things
System ID
system no
startprofile
user
password
If i give the startprofile and if i install the service again will i lost old data....
Before this i use have one more problem is my
J2ee server and dispatcher was not working.

go your SAP logon screen right click on your XI sever go to
Properties then you will find system ID and system number
And for startprofile go to usr/sap/<system ID>/sys/profile/start_<system_instances>_host
User Name SAPService<systemID> in my case because my system ID VXD so my user name SAPServiceVXD
Password- (password of user xisuper )
System ID --
system no
startprofile
user
password

Actually i use to have those instances in MMC but after i have executed those steps which i have mentioned ealier its got dissapeared.
If i follow those steps which u said do i lost my old data. Becuase i have done lots of scearios in that system. I want those scenarios.

As per thread, restart your server and run sapstartsrv.exe and restart your server again.
