1. When I try a CV04N tcode and try to display the document, I am told the following message;
File C:\WINDOWS\SAPwksta\SAL\_ACDEPUI04.pdf cannot be created.
I need to see the document thats attached...same mesage when I try Su01D
I have all the access -CV01N too
Thanks
As I saw some discussions surrounding DMS/CV04N, I thought of seeking your comments on a problem I have run into:
a. Run transaction CV04N, output is displayed.
b. Pick a document that has a PDF file as original file and click the print icon.
c. Adobe application opens (note that the it is just a blank screen of the application, file is not displayed) and the PDF file is printed to default printer.
d. Now on SAP side, on the ALV screen, the control (mouse) seems to be waiting, until I close the adobe application manually. Nothing else can be done with this ALV output, until I close the adobe application.
Is there any possible solution to this issue ?. Please let me know your thoughts.
Thanks,
Girish

Do you have access to create the file in that directory and if so, does the file already exist in that directory? i.e. maybe you cannot overwrite

Hey George,
Below are the possible solutions to your problem,
1. Please do check if you have defined the default network path for Workstation application in the Network.
2. Make sure you have defined the front end Data carrier.
3. Make sure you have defined the workdirectory.
4. Most importantly make sure you have defined the WSA for PDF files.
Thats all I can think as of now. Awards points if useful.
Good luck

Hey George,
Yes, SDN encourages awarding points to people who are taking time to help fellow SAP consultants by replying to the queries. Its probably one way of acknowledging the user's time, knowledge and efforts.
Coming to your question:
You can define workstation application by going to transaction DC30. For details refer to SAP configuration guides if you have specific questions may be I can help you. Let me know!
