Hi,

I have the same user id to SLD and NWDI but the password is different.

So I get logged in successfully to the SLD but when i do the import configuration -> remote-> it gives the above error.

The list of available Development Configurations is displayed.

Can any1 tell me the cause of the above error ?

Thanks,

Veena.

NWDS uses only one set of credentials (userid/pwd) and thus your userid and password must be identical on the SLD and NWDI server. In all other cases you will never be able to log in.

Hi,

As Pascal mentioned before, you need the right credentials for your development user to work with NWDI. Assign role NWDI.Devloper to the user which tries to import the configuration into NWDS. And to clarify things a little bit, communication between CMS and SLD works on server level, so if this works, it doesn't mean that you're developer are able to work with the info in CMS, if they don't have the right credentials (and also check ACL list of the configuration to see who has permissions to the workspace you wan't to use).

Hi,

With a valid userid/pwd, you should be able to logon to CMS WebUI,

http://<host>:<port>/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tcSLCMS~WebUI/Cms

Ensure that you have given the correct roles and rights as per the configuration guide. Reset the passwords to same in both SLD and NWDI.

Hope this helps !
